About
EQ GPS is a log-parser based GPS system I wrote back in 2010 for use
on the Project 1999 server.
It monitors your characters log file for zone changes and /locs and
displays the corresponding map and location. It is completely free and
requires no registration
Features:
- Displays your in-game position overlaid on a map of the current zone
- Supports any maps that are drawn to scale like most of the maps from the old
EQ Atlas web site
- Supports vector maps like those produced by the in-game mapping system
on EQ Live
- Provides search filtering for labels to make it easier to find mobs
in busy zones
- Adjustable map scaling, height filtering, font sizing & spacing,
layer masking, and background color
- Includes maps for most of the zones up to and including the Kunark and
Velious expansions.
- Has a calibration interface which allows you to configure any map that’s
drawn to scale for use in EQGPS.
- Displays your previous positions as a trail with a direction indicator
- Browse maps for other zones
- Launch the Project 1999 Wiki or Allakhazam page for the zone you're viewing
- Location of the mouse over the map is displayed in the title bar of the map window
- Modes
- Map-only mode -- all controls are hidden and just the map is
displayed
- On Top mode -- keeps the map window on top of other windows
- EQ Live map mode (line-based maps from in-game mapping system on
Live)
- Picture map mode (use map images)
- Standard Windows installer w/uninstall via the Control Panel
